Neupogen is a medication containing granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) which is naturally produced by the body and stimulates the production of a type of white blood cell called neutrophils that is important for staving off infections. Fertility clinics often use this medication to improve egg implantation quality and the tissue of the uterine lining. In particular, it is used to treat women who have a history or miscarriage and pregnancy loss.
Your physican may direct you to take this medication as a subcutaneous injection after you transfer or as a uterine wash performed a few days before your transfer.
